Kaua'i island is where the first Hawaiian commercial coffee plantation was planted, back in 1836. That farm, and other Kauai coffee ventures, didn’t do well until several decades. Even then, coffee nearly completely disappeared from Kauai until it was resurrected in 1987. Now, Kauai produces about half of Hawai‘i’s total production!

    Note the Berry

    I usually get Volcanic or Pele's blend but thought I'd try a small bag of this as a tester. Sadly for me I did not read the tasting notes! The berry/fruity taste does come through. I do not usually like fruity coffee due to the aftertaste but it did not really hang around in this blend. Still, the fruit was a bit much for me so I added a pinch of salt which toned it down perfectly. Still good coffee but I'll return to my favorites. If you like fruity - this is for you!

    Like Maui in a bag.

    Love the coffee and love the shop in Kaanapali. Look forward to that being a destination on my morning coffee run when in Maui.

    My friend who lives in Hawaii and I believe she knows the owner of BadAss coffee. I spent 2 weeks with her and she raved about the coffee. I am raving crazy in love with this coffee! BEST ROBUST FULL FLAVOR 🥰☕️
